NAP (Name, Address, Phone)

NAP refers to a business's core identity details — name, address, and phone number — and whether they're stated identically across every place they appear online: the business's own website, Google Business Profile, third-party directories, and review sites.

Why it matters for hotels

AI engines cross-reference NAP details across multiple sources to build confidence that a hotel actually exists at a given location with those exact details. When sources disagree, AI has less reason to trust any one of them, which can result in an AI assistant avoiding specific claims about a property, or stating something incorrect.
